herb-nose-2-inch.jpg

Color-correcting, graphics tweaking, sound mixing & more are in this guy’s hands now. He’s also TLP’s point man for getting us in the door with all the mover/shakers in tinsel town. Sure, I imagine he’ll shower first. (This is what you get, Herb, for asking me to put up a new photo without sending me one!)

More HA HA, less blah blah

If a pic’s worth 1000 words, this is my most verbose blog post ever.

Yummy hanging slabs of meat in hot, open-air markets On yer knees, B***! Holy sheep! Butt the heck is that? Don’t ass me. Needs more bridgework than John McCain

I finally graduate from Buddhist kindergarten! 1 chair, 8 legs Botox for cheapskates Ding Dong! Who’s there? William Hung.

Speaking of eating it… Your point is…? All hail giant teacher boy! Did I crap my diapers? Depends…

If you think these still photos are funny, check out what The Laughing Planet can do with moving pictures (talkies)!

In addition to laughing…

Sure, the best way to save the planet is to keep laughing. However, we can of course take even more actions. If only, as someone once misspoke our trademark, the only way to save the planet was to keep laughing. But, alas, there is work to be done. And good news is out there hidden behind plenty of doom & gloom.

Melting ice makes nice chairs My cousin, Jack

Did you hear that Mercedes-Benz has announced it will cease production of petroleum-fueled vehicles within 7 years? How about the United States’ first offshore wind farm off the coast of Delaware?

Some scoff merely at the notion of saving the planet. They chortle at the notion, “The planet will be just fine. Man isn’t smart (stupid?) enough to destroy the Earth!” And guess what? They’re right! But man is indeed smart/stupid enough to render the planet virtually uninhabitable for animals & future humans.

Pandamonium Monkeybid’ness

Let’s keep in mind that there is still hope for humanity.

Earth day was 2 months ago. Will you wait another 10 months to do something nice for mother Earth?

Where TF is TLP? (Vol. 2)

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Click on this tiny thumbnail below to see our lovely new map in its full-sized glory.

Sumatra, world’s 6th largest island, from above

And remember: Not for use as a trail map for slashing through the rain forest. (Unless you want to be eaten alive by Sumatran tigers.)

Morton’s salt= Panacea

It’s a sad reality in the developing world that people have to live with goiters like this when adding just a touch of iodine to their diet would take care of the problem. We realized (eventually) that it was a bit cruel to include this segment in the movie. But we can show it here and highlight that we have the ability to mature & learn from our mistakes.

Coming Soon! (Really, we mean it this time)

How much would you pay for a DVD like this? WAIT! Before you answer, consider that we will throw in a bumper sticker. And the first 500 people will be entered into a drawing to receive a limited edition T-shirt! Once we design and produce
such a T-shirt that is….

New DVD insert

Most importantly, you are getting a groundbreaking new morsel of entertainment that diverges wildly from the carbon copy tripe that has become the bane of Hollywood. Did anyone else notice the voluminous commericals during the NBA finals for the not one but two new shows on ABC that blatantly rip off our producer Herb’s big hit “MXC“?

Where in the world is TLP?

For those of you who have difficulty following the exploits of our global vagabonding. Or if you are just like me and love maps.

WARNING! Should not be used as an actual road map or trail map for hiking thru the jungles of Laos!

Coming soon: The Sumatra map in similar dazzling full-color 2-D imagery!

McCain will veto Beer; Obama not so much

Obama stands up to McCain on Beer Veto

Welcome to SUPER Blogroll

Monday, June 9th, 2008

The time has finally come that I can sorta focus on being a real blogger, of sorts. One way I have decided to enhance this TLP blog experience is to dramatically increase the number of websites linked on the right side of this page. Be forewarned, there is humor, but also chilling environmental news, news of the weird, occasional links to articles or videos which use the F** word, and -gasp- worst of all, politics. If you like the cuddly image of purported “maverick” and “straight-talker” John McCain presented by Fox News and other MSM outlets, you will learn some important facts about the elder of our 2 remaining potential presidents.

Mostly I have tried to bring to your attention a wide array of issues which may not receive enough notice otherwise. So next time you have a few minutes to while away at the office, or if you are like I am today, sick as a dog on the couch without energy to do much besides surf the internet, click away and let us know what you think of these items by replying to this thread. Enjoy!
