Over 40 years ago at Bard College in New York, 2 young troublemakers connected and began making music together. Donald Fagen & Walter Becker, was the core of a band [DON'T call it a "him"] that produced 7 stellar albums between the years 1967-1980 and two more in the past decade, one of which, “Two Against Nature” shockingly won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2000. Fagen has also released 3 solo albums & worked on a couple soundtracks
Here then is a brief tribute to the frontman of Steely Dan, Donald Fagen, 61 years old today.
Perhaps to compete with the German dancing fashion show (below), I felt it was time to show a taste of the event I captured one of my many visits to Luang Prabang. The first time I paid to see the Lao Royal Ballet, they forbid taking still photos until the performance was over.
I guess good things come to those who wait. By chance, and for the same price, mind you, this time the performance was outdoors, with lighting. AND they let me shoot video – with a tripod, even!
