this is so exciting! FINALLY, TLP goes global and likeminded people across the world will get to join TLP in saving the world one laugh at a time. having been fortunate enough to attend screenings in sacramento, ca, and king’s beach (lake tahoe), ca, i can attest to the difference that TLP has made in my life and worldview. so a word to the wise and intellectually curious: if you happen to be in birmingham, munich, camano island, winchester, columbus, montreal, milwaukee, state college, seattle, or LA, don’t miss the chance to catch a TLP screening!

(This guy is 11 years old!~ Cheyney)
I almost cry from laughing! I loved the hair cutting part! The comparisons [separated @ birth] are hilarious! A monkey with alcohol? Ha ha. He lost his shoes in crap.
I would leave out some of the pointless things.
I would change some of the dark humor.
Awesome movie but it could use a little work.

I liked when Cheyney talked with the locals and laughed with them. But some stuff is sort of rude like you are exploiting the culture when this is not your intention. It was entertaining though. I liked the scenery from off-the-beaten track places…the interesting facts mixed with humor.
Good music.
Cheyney is cool. I’m in love with him! Forever!

Too many partying white girls at the end of Laos.
Great idea, great potential. Cheyney is hot and awesome – very funny- funnier when he doesn’t try too hard.

Enjoyed the tidbits about the locations (rain forest, monkeys, etc.); various phrases in different languages.
Some inserts and effects are kind of unprofessional.
The host is sweet and open-minded. I like his sense of humor. He’s also silly & in a good way. He’s so random.
The sceneries are beautiful & some places were really cool. Some comments were kinda…not cool (religious, hitting on girls, etc.) But overall it’s entertaining.
It’s a fun docu-comedy to watch with friends.
It should be upbeat, casual, and fun, and it was.

Funny. Witty. Clever. I like that you are eco-friendly!
people generally enjoyed the doc. everyone laughed throughout it. some major “talk” was focused around sexist jokes, religion/jesus jokes (pennsylvania breeds some intense bible thumpers), your horniness, and sound quality…also, i believe most people liked the first disc better than the second (though, i enjoyed the history in the 2nd–learned a lot). all of the intro shots are probably your strongest. I hope the comments help. thanks for including us!

Fun, interesting, beautiful images, informative. Good balance of fun and activism. Enjoyed the interactions with people, the overall mood. Sometimes you try too hard to be funny. Cheyney is likable overall. Sometimes seems like he’s oversimplifying the culture, but usually seems curious, knowledgeable. I like that he emphasizes being cheap, talking to everyone, problem solving, etc.

It has some really cool footage. It’s funny & interesting. I liked seeing the animals, insects & flowers. I really liked seeing the people with smiling and laughing faces.
I think he spent a little too much time on the wet T-shirt stuff.
I love the idea of laughter healing people.

and Lake Tahoe screening ! Loved it….more to be had !

Thanks so much for the invitation to the screening. I really enjoyed myself. When you ask a lawyer for an opinion they are likely to write too much…sorry, just a product of our training.
- quasi or outright naughty humor was great too but it may offend some…I think it is pretty safe though. It was a bit much a couple of times as far as the amount but I liked all the humor that was there myself.
- drunk guy singing…hilarious
- the water fight scene was great. Safe and fun for all.
- I liked the set up of little vignettes one after the next of your adventures. that set up alone allows the viewer to just get lost in your travels which is fun.
- though your jokes about the Catholic religion are cool with me I felt they have the strong potential to offend some people I know…most of them are older though.
- pics of the locals are really great. That is one of those times when I was getting lost in the movie …. sort of reminded me of National Geographic Magazine where the pictures really seem to transport you to that location.
- interpreting local sayings into English on the screen was great. Educational, safe (what I mean when I say safe is that nobody would be offended) and in keeping with the educational and funny purpose of the movie.
I feel like you are almost there Cheyney…the content just needs a bit more tweaking and the sound needs tweaking too and I think you will have it.
Okay, I think that is finally it for my comments. I feel like I may have said too much but like I said, you obviously can take my comments with a grain of salt. Let me know how distribution of the movie goes. I think you have enough content to make perhaps Zany Cheyney’s mad adventure #3 but I am not sure…

Part where you film in the temple…people might find that offensive. Don’t mess with the religion issue.
Cool movie to watch with friends.

Funny. I actually laughed quite a bit. Easy to follow.
Need more info about each place. Why did you go to each place/ Significance?
I liked the Starbucks dis. Hate SB.
I learned but thought it could be more political.

The footage is great! Makes me want to travel!
Funny, but not appropriate for everyone. Too bawdy for young or old.
Cheyney is hilarious. He is well-suited to do this.

Great adventure travel documentary, emphasized humanity & similarities through humor. Never shied away from the gritty reality of 3rd world conditions, but did it with love. Some of the market & food scenes were pretty raw, but also added to the authenticity. Really unique!

Hiya. Finally the promised feedback from Germany in writing.
Overall we enjoyed the movie a lot, lots of laughs, even though it feels a bit too long (suggestions to shorten: Lake Toba bank, cave singing, Lao New Year, delete the lost shoe thingo). – No problems with the jokes, there was only a comment about the monk conversation being weird and sometimes you do try to hard (spanking the pig, buddha backseat…) – There was confusion with regards to the famous Bukit Lawang fruit basket, the disc golfing, etc. People lost track… – Other comments were about not so good maps & the very basic inserts. – People wanted to see more of the daily life of a backpacker – don’t only talk about a 3$ room, show me one, etc. – There’s a different feel to how the two countries are presented which is irritating. Sumatra is all fun, Laos too serious in comparison. However, people found the “serious” information you provide very informative.
Some of the biggest laughs:
the beauty parlor – the drunk guy – leech shoes – Luang Prabang Phousi (or however you spell it ) – crationalist – cheating on the bike crash scene (blue vs. bike red

It was great watching your adventures through Indonesia. I think that this planet has its hands full with all of these people sucking it dry. Too bad, there really doesnt seem to be an end in sight. We are witnesses to probably the greatest tragedy ever. I am going to get a road bike and stop driving as much as possible. Thanks for the adventure. It beats me spending all of the gasoline to do it.

The past few days, though every minute of every day was filled, we made it a priority to watch your DVD. We were having a casual breakfast at a local coffee shop on the day I was leaving and sat back to watch it. OMG!!!! You are hysterical!! We laughed our heads off (not literally) and people kept staring at us. That was unbelievably clever and Sara was very touched with your message on the Rain Forest and the Orangutans.
I know part of your creativity comes from your mom who has always found interesting and different ways of looking at and doing things. However I’m in awe of how you can come up with all those ideas. What an incredible talent you have and I’m sure it will serve you well in your movie endeavor. The “separated at birth” segment was especially amazing. I really wish you well on this movie project. I will watch the DVD many times again and will share it with friends as well b/c it is great entertainment.

I just had a chance to watch them, and they knocked my socks off. They are joyful, funny, and informative. The footage is exquisite. The pace is perfect. Cheyney is an irresistible host who is very much at home in the world and full of zest, and he has wonderful interactions with the people he meets. You get to meet the local characters, see breathtaking scenery, inspect the flora and fauna (he pauses at one point so that you can LISTEN to the flora), and learn fascinating bits of information about you name it—history (recent and remote), geopolitics, ecology, culture, and science (my favorite being a segment in the Sumatran rain forest with insets about “badass bugs”). Oh, and you get all the entertainment value of the inevitable travel/backpacking snafus and none of the actual yak dung. I sat there mesmerized throughout–and I don’t mesmerize easily!
